Augie Ojeda singled to center off Johan Santana Sunday to drive the NoNoHitters.com count to 7,349 New York Mets games without a no hitter.
Santana had another strong showing, giving up just one earned run while scattering six hits and four walks over six innings. He struck out seven but left without a decision.
The Mets won 5-2, thanks to an errant throw on a Carlos Delgado routine grounder in the ninth that should have been a double play. Instead, the Mets broke the tie and would add two more runs.
Billy Wagner pitched another perfect ninth for his seventh save of the season.
