What does giving up a ton of late-inning homers earn you?
A spot in the starting rotation, Aaron Heilman hopes.
According to this story in Newsday, the poster child for the Mets’ bullpen woes has asked General Manager Omar Minaya to return to a starter’s role. Minaya says the Mets still see him in the bullpen.
Really?
I see him in someone else’s bullpen – and another National League East team’s bullpen would be great. That way he could give up some late inning homers to David Wright or Carlos Delgado.
I’m in no rush to add him to our potential no-hitter list in the right column.
