7,585: Pagan slam wins it for the Mets

Angel on our shoulders

Not particularly known for his home-run prowess, Angel Pagan delivered the second eighth-inning grand salami – his first in two seasons – for the Mets this week as the team defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 9-6.

The Mets’ 7,585th shot at a no-hitter were dashed early on when Justin Upton homered in the first off starter Oliver Perez.
