The Mets dropped their fourth straight game Saturday with a 7-5 loss to the Florida Marlins.
Mets starter John Maine began the game by issuing three straight walks, then walked in the game’s first run after getting Jorge Cantu on a line-out to short. Out Number 2 came on a strike out, but a Cameron Maybin two-RBI single gave the Marlins a 3-0 and advanced our NoNoHitters.com count up to 7,681 New York Mets game without a no-hitter.
The Mets tied it up in the third on a Jason Bay two-RBI single and a David Wright sacrifice fly, but the Marlins got the three back in the fifth and another in the sixth.
Luis Castillo tripled home a run in the seventh and singled in run in ninth, but it was not enough.
