R.A. Dickey provided another solid start Friday night to lead the New York Mets to their 20th home victory of the season with a 4-3 win over the Florida Marlins.
Dickey lost his no-hitter in the second inning on Cody Ross triple, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,699 games without a no-no. He threw 6 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four.
Dickey again helped his cause with the bat with an RBI single in the third. He was 2-for-3 to raise his batting average to .375.
Ruben Tejada knocked in the go-ahead in the sixth with an RBI single.
