7,705: Dickey pitches Mets to rare road victory

A road win!

R.A. Dickey used his knuckleball to improve to 4-0 on the season Friday to lead the New York Mets to a 5-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles in interleague play.

Dickey lost his no-hitter in the first inning on a Miguel Tejada single, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,705 Mets games with no no-no. Dickey threw seven strong innings, giving up just one earned run on seven hits and a walk while striking out eight.

David Wright was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Chris Carter hit his first Major League homer, a three-run blast in the fourth.
