To honor the occasion, we turn to the famed Mets Sign Man – the late Karl Ehrhardt. But we will still keep our main count tracking the regular season games. It would be nice to soon up the postseason count to 75, because that would be we at least reached the divisional playoffs!
We've now gone 8 years, 7 months, and 25 days without a no-hitter since Johan Santana's gem! We had gone 8,019 games - or more than 50 years - without a no-no.

Wow, that was really something. The drama kept building in Phoenix as Chris Capuano retired batter after batter, until, finally, the tension was shattered by Justin Upton’s double. And there it was , 8,000 consecutive games from the birth of a franchise without a no-hitter, an achievement without precedent in MLB history.
And we get to do it again, around next April or early May, as the Amazins count down to 8,000 regular season games. That is, of course, unless someone actually, dare I say it…
