Mets broadcaster Gary Cohen noted that regular season game No. 7,996 will end like every other Mets game (without a no-hitter) and noted that Friday’s game against the Miami Marlins will be historic as we reach the 8,000 mark.
That prompted Ron Darling to say, “I think it’s going to happen,” so let’s all hope that Johan Santana has his best stuff on Friday.
