The Atlanta Braves completed a three-game sweep Wednesday with a 5-2 win over the New York Mets at Citi Field.
Mets’ starter Mike Pelfrey lost his no-hitter in the second inning on a Garret Anderson single, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,635 New York Mets game without a no-hitter. Pelfrey gave up four runs (three of them earned) on nine hits and three walks during his six innings of work.
Both teams had 11 hits, but the Braves did a better job turning those hits into runs.
Angel Pagan, Carlos Beltran, Jeff Francoeur and Brian Schneider all had multi-hit games for the Mets.
