Mike Peflrey threw seven innings of shutout ball Thursday to lead the New York Mets to a 5-0 win over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
Pelfrey lost his no-hitter in the second inning on a Troy Tulowitzki infield single, moving our NoNoHitters.com count up to 7,653 Mets games without a no-no. Pelfrey gave up just five hits without walking a batter while striking out six.
Jose Reyes, Luis Castillo and Jeff Francoeur all had two-hit games, and Pelfrey helped his cause with an RBI single and an awkward run scored in the fourth.
