Walked off again

Orlando Cabrera hit a 10th-inning homer off Pedro Feliciano Wednesday to lead the Cincinnati Reds to a 5-4 win at Great American Ball Park.

Cabrera was also responsible for killing Jonathon Niese’s no-hitter with a first-inning single, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,672 New York Mets games without a no-no. Niese was tagged for 12 hits in his six innings of work, accounting for four earned runs. He struck out four while walking none.

Hisanori Takahashi pitched three scoreless, hitless innings in relief.

Brandon Phillips and Jonny Gomes also homered for the Reds, both coming in the fifth inning off Niese.

David Wright went 2-for-5 with a solo homer, and Angel Pagan went 3-for-5 from the lead-off spot.
