7,694: Hart hurts Mets again, Brewers

Have some Hart

Corey Hart burned the Mets again, this time with 6 RBIs on two homers as the Milwaukee Brewers topped the New York Mets 8-6 at Miller Park.

Hart, coming off a two-run walk-off homer on Friday night, hit a first-inning grand slam for his first at-bat Saturday, then followed it up with a two-run blast.

Fernando Nieve, newly promoted to a starting gig, got roughed up early, giving up five runs on three hits and three walks in just two innings of work. He lost his no-hitter on a Ryan Braun single, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,694 New York Mets games without a no-hitter.

Ike Davis hit a three-run homer for the Mets, who drop back down to .500 at 25-25.
