C.C. Sabathia outpitched Johan Santana Sunday as the New York Yankees topped the New York Mets 4-0 at Yankee Stadium.
All four Yankees’ runs came on one swing of the bat, a Mark Texiera bases-loaded homer off Santana in the third inning. Santana lost his no-hitter in the second inning on a Jorge Posada single, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,613 New York Mets games with no no-no.
The Mets managed just four hits during the game for their second straight loss after winning eight in a row.
