R.A. Dickey had his first rocky start as a Met, Monday as the Florida Marlins topped New York 10-3 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Dickey lasted just five innings, absorbing his first loss of the season while giving up five earned runs on five hits and a walk. He lost his no-hitter in the third-inning on a Ricky Nolasco ground-rule double, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,720 New York Mets games with no no-no.
Nolasco dominated the Mets, yielding just four hits over nine innings while fanning nine. Two of those hits were courtesy of Jason Bay, who hit a second-inning solo homer in the second and a two-run blast in the seventh.
