7,733: Lincecum shuts out Mets

Freaked out

Tim Lincecum outlasted R.A. Dickey in a pitchers’ duel Thursday night as the San Francisco Giants topped the New York Mets 2-0 at AT&T Park.

Lincecum gave up just six hits (all singles) and a walk for a complete-game shutout.

Dickey yielded just one earned run on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He lost his no-hitter on a Buster Posey single, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,733 New York Mets games with no no-no.

The Giants’ one run off Dickey came in the second inning on a Pablo Sandoval double to deep right. San Francisco added a second run in the eighth on a rally started with a Lincecum single.
