The New York Mets loss their third straight game since the All-Star break Saturday with an 8-4 beating in San Francisco.

Hisanori Takahashi struggled in his start, lasting just 2 2/3 innings while giving up six runs on seven hits and a walk. He lost his no-hitter in the second inning on a Buster Posey single, moving our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,735 New York Mets games without a no-no.

Ike Davis broke the Mets’ 24-inning scoreless streak with a two-run homer in the seventh and added a solo shot in the ninth.

Pablo Sandoval was 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs for the Giants.
